When they decide to go full tilt into their weirdo rnb-core shtick (find forever and drink about it are highlights), it's loads of fun and even a bit daring. Instead of arrranbeecore can we just start calling this mckentycore? I love issues what in the world were you guys thinking to incorporate happy go lucky post 'Thriller' new jack swing into your sound? This was a train wreck. I don't even know how to describe that sound. The guitarist and bassist find the most success together, but the multifaceted sound of the album is winning.
I don't feel the desire to do repeated full listens like I hoped I would but about half to 2/3 of the album is great. Guitars sound punchy and defined in the best way possible for this style. It's a solid album and mostly has an R&B, Pop with heavy guitars crossover thing going on, with screams only showing up in a few spots. I loved the singles, and I thought this might make a bigger statement then it ends up making. Seems like some might say that the album didn't turn out to be as bad as Drink About It and Flexin suggested, but I'm the opposite. Issues keeps regressing further with every release The Djazz fusion they?ve created is unrivaled You don?t often hear a musician?s album that is also a pop masterpiece. This is one of the most progressive pieces of work I?ve ever heard. If you call this ?regression?, you?re crazy. Definitely the best music they've put out to date in my opinion. The instrumentation is beautiful and this mix on the whole album fucking rocks. I don't see this as a radio friendly collection of music.
